In this role, you will perform a variety of Human Resources related administrative tasks, complete ad hoc tasks for our CEO and GM, and handle front-desk related duties for our facility. While an understanding of HR processes and practices would be definite plus, we are really looking for someone with demonstrated MS Office proficiency, who enjoys working in a support role and is able to work independently.

The Job

  • Manage the selection/hiring process; requisitions, job advertisements, processing/distribution of applications and resumes; build networking relationships with colleges, trade schools, and other entities as well as identify and attend career fairs that support the sourcing of qualified candidates.
  • Assist HR Business Partner with scheduling interviews, updating HRIS, and generating response emails at the end of the process
  • Process new hire documents and assist in new hire orientation
  • Coordinate pre-employment screening process, to include scheduling drug screens and processing background investigations
  • Assist with filing, HR audits and employee file management
  • Ensure that employee information is filed in compliance with company record-keeping and governmental regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of employee information
  • Assist with employee events and planning
  • Maintains employee file documentation
  • Utilizes phone, email, bulletin boards and other vehicles to communicate information.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Intermediate knowledge of human resources administration practices preferred
  • Intermediate knowledge of human resources laws and regulations preferred
  • Heavy utilization of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel
  • Customer service focused
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Work independently and interact with all levels of employees

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 1-2 year’s experience in an HR role
  • Ability to interact effectively and project professional image with employees, clients, vendors, and the general public.
  • This position is office based in Springfield, Mo.
