We are looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to play a key role in achieving our plans for substantial growth while maintaining our commitment to providing excellent care to our community. We're looking for an experienced professional to identify practice acquisition opportunities and spearhead the acquisition process. As the Business Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company, building relationships within the healthcare community, maximizing synergies, and unlocking the full value of each acquisition. As a key individual contributor within the organization, you will help ensure that business opportunities, activities and outcomes are aligned with the strategic plan and the organization's mission, vision and values.
Overview:
As The Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and expansion through strategic acquisitions. You will collaborate with executive leadership, legal advisors, operations leaders and financial experts to identify and execute strategic transactions aligned with the company's objectives.
Responsibilities:
Key Strategic Planning:
• Work in partnership with the CEO to develop and refine the company's Acquisition strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry landscapes to identify potential opportunities or risks.
Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:
• Participate in the identification and initial assessment of potential Acquisition targets or partnerships.
• Develop relationships with primary and specialty care practices in the communities we serve. Deal Structuring:
• Help co-ordinate acquisition activities including initial diligence, financial analysis, terms, deep diligence etc.
• Provide insights obtained through due diligence to CEO, VP Finance and legal team to ensure that deals are structured to maximize value and mitigate risks.
Integration Planning and Leadership:
• Work collaboratively with the integrations team to ensure a smooth transition for the acquired practice
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the acquired organization
Stakeholder Management:
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Present Merger and Acquisition strategies and updates to the executive team and board of directors. Value Creation:
• Establish key performance indicators to measure the success of the acquisition across critical areas, including revenue growth, client satisfaction, employee retention, and project delivery performance.
• Regularly analyze data and track progress against key performance indicators, providing informative reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and implement post-acquisition communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed of progress and address concerns.
Team Leadership:
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
• Stay abreast of Acquisition trends and best practices, continuously improving our integration methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or similar area required.
- Project management professional certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, mergers and acquisitions and/or Business Development in the healthcare field. Primary Care experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Leadership qualities that inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- A strong understanding of project management, contracting methodologies, and business processes is preferred.
