Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and highly proficient Bookkeeping Specialist with a preference for CPA experience to join our team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Bookkeeping Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Process daily financial transactions and perform monthly reconciliations using QuickBooks Online
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports for ownership review
• Collaborate with external CPAs to facilitate tax return processes and ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Issue 1099 forms to eligible recipients and assist with year-end reporting requirements
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks

Job Requirements:

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential
• Preference for candidates with CPA certification and experience in public accounting
• Thorough understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with exposure to CPA firms highly desirable
• Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks Online and MS Excel
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in accounting practices and regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay starting: $50,000

Education:

• Work Location: Hybrid, 2 days work from home, 3 days at the office.
