Job Summary
CDH, PC is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper - Bilingual Japanese to join our accounting team. This is a full-time, hourly position and is located in Itasca, Illinois. The Bookkeeping staff is responsible for the day-to day bookkeeping activities involved with client engagements. As a Certified Public Accounting firm, we are looking to bring on a bookkeeper who is willing and able to handle multiple projects at once and enjoys working on a variety of projects when needed.

Professional Responsibilities
Records and organizes bills from vendors
Works with financial statements, general ledger maintenance and bank reconciliations
Maintains cash, accounts receivable and accounts payable
Checks and verifies source documents such as invoices, receipts, and purchase orders
Completes bank and credit card compliance and reconciliations
Inputs entries into proper accounts
Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions
Assists in the resolution of billing discrepancies
Verifies inventory transactions of products and supplies
Checks figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes
Complies with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
Understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
Ability to determine how a client's system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes
Frequently works with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, ProFx, QuickBooks, Sage 50, Sage Intact and Bill.com
Willingness to have a basic understanding of our Tax and Assurance procedures

Qualifications
At least two years of experience in a bookkeeping role
Accounting software experience a plus
Ability and willingness to travel to clients occasionally within the Firm's market area
