Bookkeeper
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday
Location: Lynn Center, IL
Compensation: $23/hr to $28/hr depending on experience
We, Sedona Staffing Moline as the employer, are recruiting for a Direct Hire Bookkeeping position at a local manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities:
* Record general ledger entries including journal entries.
* Assists CFO with all aspects of financial and cost reporting, including month and year end activities.
* Maintain and update schedules for Fixed Assets, and draft related general ledger journal entries if needed.
* Complete account reconciliations monthly, or more frequently if required.
* Ensures a monthly close is completed timely.
* Processes payments in accordance with company procedures.
* Reconcile corporate credit card statements to ensure all receipts have been submitted and approvals obtained.
* Ensures inventory transactions are recorded and ensures cycle counts are reconciled to system of record. May assist in cycle counts as necessary.
* Review reconciliation of employee benefit deductions; ensure accuracy of monthly insurance invoices.
* Ensure customer invoices have been prepared and recorded in the system.
* Ensure deposits for each sale have been deposited and recorded.
* Prepare invoices for inter-company activity monthly.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
* Associate's degree or equivalent accounting experience.
* Ability to produce high quality work in ambiguous environments - analytically interpreting financial information- and improve business processes.
* Experience with general ledger software programs.
* Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with drive to work collaboratively and cross-functionally.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
