Bookkeeper/Accountant

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our family-owned construction concrete business as a Part-Time Bookkeeper/Accountant. This position offers the opportunity to work in a small, dynamic office environment where you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping and accounting functions using QuickBooks.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly financial reports for management review.
• Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Lead accounting operations independently, taking full ownership of the process.
• Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work autonomously, taking charge of tasks without constant supervision.
• Maintain a professional and organized office environment.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and vendors.
• Handle administrative tasks as needed to support daily operations.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience with QuickBooks is essential.
• Strong background in general accounting and ledger management.
• Proficiency in monthly reporting and payroll processing.
• Demonstrated experience leading accounting functions in a small business setting.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a solo office environment.
• Comfortable with a casual dress code (jeans and sweatshirt) typical of a construction office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
