Major Accountabilities:
1. Maintain cash balances in QuickBooks on weekly basis;
2. Complete bi-weekly payroll processing;
3. Reconcile bank accounts;
4. Perform month end adjusting entries;
- Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable required, specifically Insurance Billing;
6. Complete and review month end reporting for finance committee and Board meetings;
7. Perform ad-hoc reporting, specifically for grant statistics;
8. Assist external accounting firms with annual audit and tax preparation;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:

- Ability to work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages;
- Valid transportation and a current, valid driver’s license;
- Successfully pass the required background checks;
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Social Sciences, Finance, Marketing or related field
Experience:
· 2 - 4 years of experience in accountant or professional bookkeeper role;
· Non-profit experience is preferred, but not a requirement;
· 3-5 years of QuickBooks experience.
Skills Required:
- Clear understanding of the functions and operations of non-profit organizations;
- Excellent team player;
· Must be an experienced user of MS Office, specifically Excel.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, related financial software;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly with all internal and external stakeholders, especially financial professionals;
- Ability to effectively identify, analyze and solve problems;
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality;
- Ability to make sound judgment in decision making and to work independently;
- Ability to effectively support the agency’s Mission and enforce established policies and procedures;
- Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week
