Information About the role:

An Accounting Specialist/Bookkeeper provides financial, administrative and clerical support to the bail department to ensure payments and transactions are properly handled. The Accounting Specialist will provide support to all bail department employees with the day-to-day operations as well as other financially related projects as assigned by management.

 

What you will do:

  • Accurately and timely enter data into Bail system
  • Accurately process and record daily deposits
  • Ability to reconcile accounts and properly diagnosis issues
  • Process Accounts Payable 
  • Process Accounts Receivables
  • Monitor and work with Agent Manager to collect on Accounts Receivables
  • Review and prepare documentation for opening new accounts with banks
  • Conduct reconciliation of bank statements as they relate to Build Up Fund Accounts (BUF) and collateral accounts
  • Prepare withdrawal requests from BUF accounts and/or collateral accounts
  • Prepare and scan documents into digital files using Image Right
  • Other related duties as assigned

What you will bring to C&F:

  • Associate’s degree preferred or bookkeeping experience with knowledge of intermediate accounting principals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment working on multiple tasks, prioritizing and meeting deadlines to complete assigned tasks
  • Exceptional time management
  • Strong problem-solving and research skills
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to learn and utilize industry-specific software
  • Solid verbal and written communications
  • Will abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with C&F’s risk management controls.

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $34,800.00 to a maximum of $58,000.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
