Performs a variety of administrative duties within and for the Agency with Choice program related to the Human Resources (HR) function of The Arc of Chester County. Assists in the administration of the onboarding process for Support Service Professional (SSPs).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs the necessary steps in the hiring process of AWC Support Service Professionals (SSPs) for participants, including tracking the progress of the applicant in an Excel spreadsheet, processing and collecting the pre-employment PA State Criminal clearance, FBI clearance (when required), child abuse clearance, driving history, drug screening and may also include Medicaid fraud clearances.
- Create personnel files for AWC Support Service Professionals (SSPs) making sure all documents necessary are collected and completed properly before moving forward with the hiring process.
- Write and send out AWC offer letters and/or rejection letters to new hires and/or applicants.
- Input all necessary AWC new hire information into HR database.
- Generate payroll status forms for newly hired SSPs, for the suspension, transfer, or other changes of SSPs, and for the termination of employment of SSPs.
- Maintain and keep up on the filing needed for all personnel files and clearance files for all AWC Support Service Professionals.
- Maintain new hire packets for the AWC program and make sure they are accurate and up to date.
- Provide coverage for other administrative staff, as needed.
- Answer and return SSP phone calls, answer questions, reset passwords, etc.
- Be a willing and supportive team player of other team members to ensure the success of AWC and all of its participants.
- Attend agency administrative meetings as needed and required.
- Attend and complete trainings, as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required, with at least 3 years administrative experience
- Some Human Resources experience is preferred.
- Consent and completion of all required background checks.
- Current and valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and registration with acceptable driving record as per The Arc’s Personnel Policy.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, to set priorities and follow through on details
- Good computer skills and competency in Microsoft Suite Office products
- Must have own reliable vehicle
