Are you a Human Resources leader with a passion for the hospitality industry? Do you have experience managing HR operations for multiple properties? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Area Director of Human Resources to oversee the HR functions for the Des Moines Sheraton and Des Moines Embassy Suites. These two properties are both located in Des Moines and boast a combined 450 guest rooms and over 50,000 square feet of banquet space. If you are a strategic thinker with a proven track record of building high-performing teams and driving employee engagement, we want to hear from you.
We are looking for an Area Director, Human Resources to ensure that Associates are fully assimilated into their operational roles by managing Associate performance and development, ensuring appropriate compensation, facilitating talent acquisition, overseeing employee relations, and supporting administrative needs.
Salary Range: 65k - 95k
The Human Resource Director's duties, responsibilities, and assignments include:
- Balance and prioritize the operational and Human Resources needs across multiple properties while driving the Corporate HR responsibilities, initiatives and programs
- Leverage our HR technology capacities in order to maximize efficiencies (to include electronic performance management process)
- In partnership with property leadership teams, drive, model and promote our Core Values with all internal and external interactions.
5-7 years of progressive HR leadership experience to include solid HR Generalist responsibilities
Bachelor's Degree in related field of study or commensurate experience
Advanced proficiency of technology capabilities across various HRIS platforms and related technologies
