Job Description
F&G is hiring for a Director, Talent Management. This role is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of critical Talent Management programs including competency and career mobility, performance management, succession planning and talent reviews. This role is responsible for the execution of high-impact Talent Management programs that support F&G's strategy business objectives and create a talent-based competitive advantage.
The Director, Talent Management will be responsible for;
- Operate in both strategic and hands-on capacities, accountable for the design, development and implementation of Talent Management programs (performance management, succession planning, competency and career mobility architectures) processes and systems to support F&G's talent strategy and DEI goals.
- Identify, develop, and implement F&G competency and career mobility architectures and tools to support professional development. Ongoing management of competency and career mobility architectures including alignment with all HR disciplines (e.g., talent acquisition, total rewards) and technology enablement.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for the existing performance management program to ensure a high performing and highly engaged workforce.
- Create standardized succession planning and talent review processes that can be replicated across the organization.
- Provide best-in-class recommendations on tools (e.g., 360 assessment, coaching, development planning, mentoring) required to support Talent Management programs.
- Develop recommendations and requirements for Talent Management technology solutions and optimizing Talent Management processes with integrated technology.
- Participate in talent reviews and regularly engage with top talent to assess development opportunities, engagement, promotion readiness, potential, flight risk, and performance.
- Create and implement Talent Management measurement and evaluation strategy to understand impact of Talent Management programs. Leverage talent data to identify relevant insights that inform priorities, strategies and plans to mitigate talent risks, build processes and development solutions to enable improved performance.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to and work closely with senior leaders and HR Business Partners to understand their evolving needs and identify opportunities to deliver best-in-class Talent Management solutions.
- Partner cross-functionally to build a strong pipeline of talent through strategic involvement in Talent Management, DEI, talent acquisition, and succession planning processes and discussions.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices for performance management, talent review, succession planning, and career development programs to ensure the organization is prepared with effective tools, infrastructure, and methodologies to meet the current and future talent needs of the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, master's degree in I/O psychology or HR preferred
- 8+ years of experience in talent development/management (with roles of increasing responsibility)
- 3+ years of leadership and/or management experience
- Experience designing, implementing and measuring Talent Management/development programs
- Proven experience partnering with and advising senior leaders on talent-related topics
- Experience with Cornerstone on Demand (e.g., learning, performance management and succession modules) is preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Deep knowledge of core Talent Management processes (e.g., performance management, succession planning, competency career pathing/mobility frameworks, talent reviews) and corresponding metrics and analytics
- Demonstrated ability to develop high potential talent
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to synthesize information into clear, concise messages in a compelling manner to internal stakeholders
- Ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships with HR and cross-functional partners
- Ability to manage large-scale, organization-wide Talent Management projects and programs
- Experience using technology to automate and measure Talent Management processes
- Using data-driven decision making to execute on Talent Management strategy
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative Talent Management solutions to achieve business results
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships and the ability to model our core values: Collaborative, Authentic, Dynamic, Empowered and Inclusive
