Under the general supervision of the Associate Vice Provost (AVP) of Student Success and Retention, Office of the Provost, the Administrative Coordinator I provides general administrative and clerical tasks for day-to-today operations. The Administrative Coordinator I will provide support to the AVP in the areas of organization and communication through a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
The Administrative Coordinator I will also support The Office of First-Year Experience by providing clerical assistance such as scheduling meetings, monitoring the office’s budget, assisting with hiring processes for student and professional staff/faculty, and event planning. This position also serves as a supervisory role for the office’s student administrative staff.
Responsibilities:
Reviews documents for supervisor. Attends meetings or committees on behalf of supervisor.
Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, office hours or programs.
Assists in the monthly reconciliation process.
Applies and interprets, and/or assists in implementing policies or operating practices. Develops administrative and technical procedures as needed.
Researches, interprets, compiles, and responds to inquiries about rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Assists in monitoring compliance with policies and procedures.
Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries. Coordinates meetings, seminars, and other special events, and may provide on-site support.
Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment.
Supports the student administrative staff in the Office of First-Year Experience.
Manages the Office of First-Year Experience front desk and clerical duties.
Attends monthly and bi-monthly budget and HR meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree.
Two (2) years of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft suite
Ability to multitask, work cooperatively with others, and prioritize tasks
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
Planning and organization skills
Experience with office management
