Job Description
We are seeking an independent and highly driven Administrative Assistant to proactively support financial advisors and assist with efficient and high-quality client service. As a Sales Assistant with Raymond James, you will maintain extensive contact with internal and external clients to resolve most problems and refer new or unusual issues to higher level colleagues.
Additional tasks of the Sales Assistant include:
- Interacting daily on the phone and in person with prospective and existing clients by handling basic inquiries
- Researching client relationship and security information through our back-office system
- Processing and following up on client documentation for proper maintenance of accounts
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Sales Assistant with Raymond James, you will prepare letters, forms, reports and spreadsheets to help service existing clients as well as prospect for new clients. You will also ensure that required client paperwork is current with firm and finance industry requirements.
Additional responsibilities of the Sales Assistant include:
- Maintaining databases and creating reports using portfolio software programs
- Assisting financial advisors with marketing efforts such as seminars, or client events
- Receiving and processing securities, and check deposits
- Receiving cross-training and assisting with other operational functions as required
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Skills and Specifications:
- Experience using related technology, financial planning tools and presentations
- Working knowledge of investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Sufficient mathematics ability to process account and transaction information
Educations and Experience:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years business sales and support experience
