JOB SUMMARY
The International Multiple Sclerosis Management Practice ("IMSMP") is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our outpatient medical practice. Our center is dedicated to providing outstanding care for our patients with MS. This is an important position as it represents our patients’ first impression and sets the tone for a positive experience.
This is not a remote position. Must be willing to work full-time onsite, Monday – Friday with occasional weekends, however there is the potential to transition to a four-day workweek.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the front desk: greet patients, answer/screen calls in pleasant and a professional manner, check patients in and out of their appointments
- Provide assistance to patients in-person, on the phone, or by email with the utmost discretion and hospitality-minded attitude
- Administrative tasks such as record-keeping and scheduling appointments across multiple departments
- Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients
- Maintain cooperative and professional relationships with physicians, nurses and office and clinical staff
- Perform other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a High School Diploma/GED. Associates Degree or above preferred
- Background in fast-paced service role preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Extreme attention to detail
- Able to take initiative
- Dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
- Must be a team player
At the International Multiple Sclerosis Management Practice (IMSMP), the health and safety of our patients, team and our community are a priority. As a private employer in NYC, we require all staff to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of employment and to enter the workplace. Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated by date of hire and proof of vaccine is required. Full vaccination is defined as two weeks after both doses of two-dose vaccine or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine has been administered.
