The START program provides crisis response and prevention for individuals with developmental disabilities who present with complex behavioral and mental health needs. Providing community-based person-centered supports that enable an individual to remain in their home or community residence is our top priority. Services include Therapeutic Resource Centers, In Home Support, Crisis Response, Consultation, Education, and Training throughout 17 counties in Western New York.
The Administrative Assistant position is a Full Time 37.5 hour a week, Monday-Friday positionthat offers a flexible schedule with 4 days on site and 1 day per week working remotely! Flexibility to choose to work 7a-3p, 8a-4p or 9a-5p make a schedule that works best for you! This position is located in the Buffalo NY Area
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Provides administrative support to the START Director and the START Program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or Business School Certificate, or, High School Diploma and Two years' experience in Administrative Assistant position(s).
- Must possess strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Experience with electronic health record, medical record-keeping, data base management and Medicaid/Medicare/Third party reimbursement processes preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the START Director by organizing information, files and schedules. Prepares and distributes confidential and general correspondence as requested.
- Prepares and submits all statistical reports as requested. Records and maintains minutes of meetings (e.g.: START Advisory Council, recurring Team Meetings, Daily Triage Calls) as requested.
- Supports the START Team Members to maintain all START records in accordance with the NYS START Clinical Manual, including, but not limited to, START Data element entry and central record of START Daily Logs. Completes other data entry tasks as assigned.
- Coordinates and completes purchasing for START hubs (Western and Finger Lakes).
- Contacts individuals/guardians for reminders of scheduled planned Resource Center visits.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the START Director.
