Accounts Payable Specialist

Urban Habitat is one of the fastest growing commercial landscape general contractors in Coachella and throughout Southern California specializing in large public works & commercial landscape construction and maintenance services. We are currently recruiting new professional talent to our growing team, including an Accounts Payable Specialist in our La Quinta, Ca office.

Summary:

• Manage Accounts Payable using software and other programs
• Handle account payable for separate entities and vendors
• Analyze workflow processes
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensure bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Process due invoices for payments
• Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Process transactions and perform accounting duties such as account maintenance, record entries, and reconcile vendor accounts.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in accounting is desirable or related experience
• 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Quick Books accounting software
• Excellent communication with Customers, Vendors, and employees and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
