Assist the Operations Manager on larger scale maintenance, renovations and construction projects. Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and other duties as assigned on all facilities at the Clemson Baruch Institute campus. Document completed work and report potential issues to the Operations Manager. Candidate should have strong carpentry skill as well as working knowledge of simple electrical, HVAC, drywall, paint, plumbing and grounds keeping. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:60% - Essential - Assist Operations Manager with larger scale maintenance, renovations and construction projects: requiring knowledge and experience using power tools, knowledge of basic, and proper, building practices or the ability, and desire, to learn proper building and renovation practices.
35% - Essential - Perform routine and preventative maintenance and on facilities: this includes light maintenance on HVAC units, lighting repair, painting, drywall repair and installation, floor repair and installation, plumbing repair and installation and other duties as assigned.
5% - Essential - Document and maintain records of all completed projects and work requests: including the ability to maintain records of materials costs. Utilize strong observational skills to recognize and report immediate or potential facilities problems.
Maintenance experience related to the area of employment.
Work Experience 3+ years - Carpentry or maintenance experience

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
