We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialistwho is responsible for timely processing of agency invoicing and providing administrative support for the fiscal department.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee Accounts Payable functions including reviewing coding, entering invoices and processing payments.
- Review and prepare documentation for routine agency invoices.
- Import invoices and prepare payments for stipends on a bi-weekly and monthly basis.
- Maintain electronic vendor files in adherence to departmental policy, including vendor W-9’s and banking information.
- Research stale dated checks and make determination on whether they need to be void.
- Monitor and audit the use of agency gift cards.
- Maintain and file various departmental records.
- Prepare and submit IRS Form 1099’s annually.
- Distribute internal fiscal mail, process agency outgoing mail, monitor mail machine balances and expense postage monthly.
Qualifications include:
- 1-2 years Accounts Payable experience preferred.
- Experience with electronic invoicing preferred.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with good attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills to include: Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and comfort learning new software and tracking systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with and meet the needs of people from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including underserved communities and people from the different racial groups, socioeconomic statuses, nationalities, and languages that make up CTI’s clientele.
