Accounting Specialist

As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission and ensuring the success of our operations.

The Position:

Key Responsibilities:

- Accounts Receivable: Process customer inquiries on invoices, escalate issues as needed, handle credit requests, collaborate with the controller on final collection notices, and manage special billing portals to ensure timely payments.

- Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices and monthly statements accurately and efficiently.

- Deposits: Post and reconcile deposits to customer accounts received via ACH or credit card.

- Payroll: Prepare, review, and report on employee time punches daily, and process bi-weekly payroll.

- Prevailing Wage: Assist the controller in processing certified payroll reports to the state by accurately processing weekly reports and daily time punches.

- Scanning and Filing: Organize and maintain office documents through scanning and filing.

- Other Duties: Support the team and management by completing additional tasks as requested.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in accounting and customer service.

- Education: Associates degree in accounting or business.

- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and payroll software.

- Computers/Internet: Working knowledge of internet-based programs and the ability to navigate online platforms.

- Team Player: Strong ability to work collaboratively with others as well as independently.

- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

- Dependability: Consistent and punctual attendance, responsible completion of tasks, and effective time management.
