Accounts Receivable And Accounts Payable/Accounting Specialist

Poetic Digital is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable/Accounting Specialist to join our team in Houston for a Hybrid role, with in office at least three days/week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for daily accounting tasks related to invoicing and bill payments, as well as supporting the accounting needs of our software development and creative agency teams with project setup and monitoring in NetSuite. This is a new position that will support the CFO and work closely with the accounting team of our parent organization in the real estate industry.
Responsibilities:

• Manage and process Accounts Receivable and Accounts payable transactions
• Assist with generating and distributing invoices to clients
• Process vendor invoices and prepare payments for approval
• Reconcile and balance accounts payable and receivable records
• Assist with project setup and monitoring in NetSuite
• Communicate with clients and vendors to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to billing
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and prepare account reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Perform other accounting-related tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 1+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts payable functions preferred
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software preferred
• Strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
