Summary
The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for vendor relations, vendor statement reconciliations company check disbursements and other Accounts Payable transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update vendor database
- Reconcile vendor statements monthly
- Issue check disbursements weekly
- Ensure all utility invoices are completed for the month
- Record/research invoicing issues to help avoid continued problems
- Provide backup to the Credit Card/Expense Administrator in managing Inlogik expense reporting.
- Ensure/complete quality control of invoices and receiving tickets entered by the service centers.
- Answering all Accounts Payable calls from vendors regarding accounts.
Qualifications
- Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
- Proficient in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch
- Ability to type 60-65 wpm
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
- Thorough knowledge of applicable Accounts Payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures. To include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and decimals.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
- Ability to read and interpret statements and reimbursement forms
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or diploma in office administration
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience
