Position Summary
ITS has an immediate opening for a Vice President of Parcel and LTL at our Sparks, NV location. This position reports to the President of Distribution Services and is responsible for the overall development, strategy and ongoing execution of ITS’ final mile revenue channel, specifically small parcel, and LTL. This position is responsible for building a team to support carrier sourcing, developing, and maintaining long term management of carrier relationships, developing final mile solutions to leverage existing customers’ volumes, supporting new business opportunities, and identifying and implementing best in class technology. This individual will work closely with the operations leadership team, IT, account management, sales, and carriers to ensure customer expectations are met.
Principle Accountabilities
- Develop, implement, and execute a strategic vision for the Parcel/LTL division that parallels or exceeds ITS’ other service offerings.
- Lead all aspects of the Parcel and LTL division; from high level strategy to having to be in the details which is inclusive of building a high performing team to execute daily, meeting and negotiating with carriers, running detailed pricing and TNT analysis, selecting technology to improve operational performance while creating/implementing processes to grow the division.
- Lead all areas of final mile division including: sales goals in collaboration with cross-functional teams, innovation, labor, technology, and strategic decisions.
- Accountable for the Final Mile P&L
- Develop sales growth plans by adding new sales opportunities while developing incremental sales growth through existing customers in ITS other verticals
- Lead and continually enhance small Parcel and LTL pricing
- Develop and maintain customer relationships and provide recommendations on final mile solutions for our customers: product tracking, rerouting, costing and usage alternatives to increase business share
- Continually improve small Parcel and LTL common carrier partnerships
- Partner with internal stakeholders to facilitate vendor performance monitoring, continuous improvement, and driving innovative outcomes
- Lead sourcing activities via RFPs to identify and qualify new or reduced-cost supply sources as required by category strategies
- Create, negotiate, and manage carrier contracts to achieve desired service terms from carriers
- Establish, manage, and measure to a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

Position Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated record of accomplishment in being part of building a successful small Parcel and LTL service line with a focus on customer service and growth, best in class claims management, superior technology and carrier relationships.
Additional requirements include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business or a related degree preferred, but not required.
- 7+ years of experience within strategic procurement, supply chain mgmt with a focus on both small Parcel and LTL
- Excellent leadership and strong interpersonal skills. A proven coach and motivator, with a strong customer service orientation for both the internal and external customer.
- Experience in negotiating multi-million-dollar agreements and contracts
- A make-it-happen person, who is flexible, adaptable and possesses a high sense of urgency.
- Gets the job done right and on time, despite obstacles.
- Excellent analytical, problems solving, and communication skills (oral and written)
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
