PURPOSE:

The Primary purpose of this position is to assist Silver State Schools Credit Union to live out its Mission, "Excellent Member Service and Financial Solutions - For Life," by providing outstanding service to both members and internal members. Develop a highly effective team of employees to their highest potential through coaching and leadership. Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members. A key component of this service is to identify the financial needs of the member and recommend an appropriate credit union solution.

  • Develop each employee to their highest potential by identifying their areas for improvement and appropriately coaching, training or correcting the employees' performance. The coaching and training must be consistent and well documented.

  • Ensure that the branch meets sales and service goals as established by the Credit Union.
  • Demonstrate enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long-term objectives.
  • Performs job duties within our bylaws, regulations, Board of Directors policies, established internal and external service standards and our work procedures.
  • Train and supervise branch staff. Assign, direct, coordinate and review work performed by staff.
  • Maintains a highly motivated, well-trained staff maintaining effective employee relations.

SUMMARY:

Responsible for managing the daily marketing function by overseeing the traditional and non-traditional advertising initiatives and functions for all departments, to include digital, online, public relations, financial literacy, and community involvement. Responsible for administering and developing the overall marketing, advertising, promotion, campaigns, and growth strategies for the credit union.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Creates campaigns and directs all aspects of production for promotions, member communications and point-of-sale materials in accordance with marketplace trends and member-specific research.
  • Researches and makes strategic recommendations using data trends, demographic data, personas, market research, data analysis, member feedback, and input from the front line to acquire new members, deepen existing member relationships, and increase product penetration and utilization.
  • Leads and contributes to the development and execution of the annual Marketing Strategy, including both Retail and Business; includes marketing campaigns, sales support, digital, and financial literacy and community relations efforts.
  • Revises and updates all marketing material in accordance with SSSCU's brand standards.
  • Oversees the Credit Union's community marketing and advertising activities, including print, online, digital, direct mail, and other traditional and non-traditional opportunities.
  • Analyzes impact of various messages and specific advertising vehicles via vanity numbers, control groups and other tools.
  • Produces sales and business development materials for a variety of teams, including brokerage consultants, real estate loan officers, and commercial real estate officers.
  • Provides guidance to SSSCU's financial literacy, community events, and sponsorships.
  • Manages the Marketing, Financial Literacy, and Community Relations budget, including planning, return on investment, and profitability. Provides monthly reporting outlining status against goals.
  • Operates within allocated budget.
  • Collaborates with internal business units to identify their priorities; aligns marketing activities to meet/exceed agreed-upon goals in support of business unit revenue generation and production unit expectations.
  • Manages strategies to ensure SSSCU's brand remains relevant and focused on SSSCU. Promotes and maintains a positive brand image of the Credit Union to SSSCU personnel, members, vendors, and the community.
  • Uses MCIF data and other analytics to understand product and delivery channel usage trends, perfect targeting, and measure results.
  • Manages branch merchandising elements to ensure a consistent, sales-oriented atmosphere is maintained in branch offices.
  • Maintains an awareness of developments and trends within the financial industry and laws and regulations as they relate to marketing and advertising.
  • Works with the Risk Management Team to ensure all promotions, advertising and printed materials meet all regulatory and compliance guidelines and remains current on laws and regulations that affect marketing.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must have a bachelor's degree (B. A.) preferably in journalism, marketing, public relations, or business management. !!Master's degree preferred. Must have 8 or more years of experience in marketing at a financial institution. 3-5 years of previous leadership experience.
