Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Corrections (VADOC) Agribusiness Unit is charged with providing agricultural training opportunities to inmates in an effort to enhance re-entry and reduce recidivism, while reducing food cost for VADOC.
Performing duties and tasks necessary to ensure proper maintenance of Agribusiness operations and all associated equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Considerable working knowledge of general farm Equipment Repair and vehicle maintenance, vehicle maintenance schedules and routine farm equipment maintenance. Demonstrated ability to instruct others in the use of and maintenance of the equipment. Considerable working knowledge of welding. Possession of valid state motor vehicles operator's license.
Additional Considerations
Possession of Commercial Pesticide License.
