Job Summary and Qualifications- You will assist the Division CMO with the implementation of, and compliance with, credentialing initiatives/ processes and will be expected to maintain a working knowledge of applicable HCA Healthcare and Parallon Credentialing Processing Center (CPC) policies, accreditation standards and regulations associated with Medical Staff services, and play a key role in the integration of HCA Clinical Strategies and HCA systems.
- You will be accountable for the legal, regulatory, and administrative aspects of multiple separate and distinct Medical Staff Organizations (e.g. Governing Boards and Medical Executive Committees).
- You will be responsibility for implementation of all CMS, and Joint Commission accreditation/licensure standards, state and federal peer-review laws and HCA Healthcare Ethics and Compliance policies.
- Key deliverables for this position includes the establishment of high standards and consistent practices to include continuous compliance with regulatory, peer review, and risk standards. You will lead the department in the acquisition process of new hospitals and will collaborate with various departments playing a critical role in physician recruiting and retention, aspects of the HCA performance improvement and patient safety initiatives, and to accomplish the work of the division. This position is instrumental in decision making and resolving service problems to ensure physician satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Staff services science, business, or related field of study or an equivalent combination of training and experience required. Master’s Degree preferred
- Certified Professional Medical Services Management and/or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist within time period specified by Division CMO
- Minimum of 5 years comprehensive credentialing experience in an acute care hospital or CVO setting. Minimum of 2 years supervisory/ management experience
