What we re seeking:
We are looking for a self-motivated individual that enjoys building rapport with candidates as they work with them through the on-boarding process. This person must have a deep understanding of employee recruiting and onboarding best practices, both the strategy and the day-to-day activities that set new hires up for success. The most successful people in this role will be confident, detail oriented, flexible, and have a team first mentality.
In this hybrid role, you will have a defined work location HUB which includes work from home and assigned days (3) in the office set by your manager.
What you ll do:
- Manage candidates selected for hire through Client's Onboarding & Background process
- Organizes candidate data (e.g. resumes, assignments and contact details) in internal databases, update internal ATS and various systems with progress notes, and communicates with all levels of the organization
- Initiate and adjudicate pre-employment checks to include background and MVR checks, drug screens and physicals, previous employment, and education verifications
- Prepare read out reports on candidate progress
- Assist with new hire onboarding e.g. preparing necessary paperwork and scheduling training
- Assist in Talent Acquisition projects aimed at improving performance, experience, and efficiency,
including new processes, integrations, and/or implementation of new systems.
- 3-5 years as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, HR Assistant, or similar role specifically in the onboarding and background phase of the hiring process
- 1-3 years of professional experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruiting, HR, Project Management, or equivalent experience
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, specifically in the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with all employee levels and levels of management
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
- Business sense - has a strong business sense and can decipher priorities and make sound judgment calls when needed
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and resume databases is mandatory
- Demonstrate ability and temperament to work with sensitive information
- Ability to think outside of the box with a sense of urgency
- Must be highly organized, with attention to detail and accuracy, flexible, high energy, and focused on completing tasks under pressure with minimal supervision
- Must be proactive and exceptionally discreet in all day-to-day activities and handling of confidential material
- Knowledge of Jobvite and/or UKG preferred
- The ability to work overtime is required.
