Scope of Position:
This position leads the full life cycle recruiting process from preparation to onboarding. This role will work to improve upon our current recruiting strategy to ensure candidates have a positive experience. The position interacts with all Museum employees at all organizational levels to assist with recruitment, performance management, time-off, benefit programs, and various other HR procedures. The overall goal of the Human Resources department is to support and enhance diversity, inclusion, engagement, and development to create a performance-driven culture.
Essential Functions:
- Acts as a role model in supporting the Core Values of the Museum
- Completes full life cycle recruiting for all open positions and all related tasks.
- Works with Hiring Managers to ensure jobs are filled timely.
- Prepares job postings and creates job ads.
- Candidate Sourcing using social media, LinkedIn, and networking.
- Builds and maintains a pipeline of candidates through ongoing relationship management.
- Conducts interviews and can make candidate recommendations.
- Ensures a positive candidate experience by providing timely feedback.
- Acts as liaison with staffing agencies, as needed for contractor hiring.
- Executes Onboarding process for all new hires.
- Administers background and reference checks.
- Coordinates new hire setup and administers contracts/offer letters for new employees or contractors.
- Negotiates salary with potential new hires.
- Oversees and leads the Onboarding Buddy program for new hires.?
- Prepares onboarding materials for new hires.
- Leads 1st day of new hire orientation for all newly recruited hires.
- Staff Development Facilitator
- Administer the John-Young Scholarship program.
- Administer Professional Development program.
- F.R.A.M.E. training facilitator - DMA's training and development program.
- Support in facilitating performance reviews and related tasks.
- Implement Special projects
- Other duties assigned.
Other HR Support Functions:
- Handles incoming reference checks or verifications of employment.
- Performs customer service functions by answering staff inquiries.
- Assists with organizational efforts for staff engagement events.
- Maintains Human Resource Information System records in Paylocity.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements
Education, Experience, and Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or a related field
- 2+ years of recruitment experience
- Paylocity experience, a plus.
- Bilingual in Spanish, a plus

- High level of emotional intelligence in handling confidential situations
- Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
- Proven track record engaging and recruiting talent.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and with interruptions.
- Ability to work independently with strong decision-making and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Excellent spelling, grammar, phone, oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.
