Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a System Administrator to join our Information Technology team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. While this position is based at Idaho Power’s downtown Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote.
What does a System Administrator do for us?
Under supervision, System Administrators analyze, install, configure, upgrade, test, document, monitor and maintain software and hardware in support of business processing requirements. The supported systems may include operating systems, business applications, server hardware, security tools, monitoring tools, web servers, application servers, integration servers and other departmental or enterprise applications or systems. They provide technical support for problems not resolved by the Integrated Operations Center or IT Service Desk. Key responsibilities include ArcFM Mobile administration tasks, ArcGIS Online (AGOL) Administration tasks, and administrating the Experience Builder and Field Maps application development space.

REQUIRED SKILLS
Knowledge of:
Installation, configuration, upgrade, test, document, monitor and maintain software and hardware of relevant technology platform(s) including Esri’s ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, and Server, ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, and AGOL
Handheld field data collection hardware and GPS technology
Administering ArcGIS Online, including user management, group management, content management, and organization administration
Administering Field Maps, including configuring forms, managing mobile workers, configuring offline workflows, and ensuring data integrity
Administering Experience Builder, including creating and managing web apps, configuring templates, designing user interfaces, and customizing layouts
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) principles, including spatial data management, analysis, and visualization
ArcFM Solution, including ArcFM Mobile, ArcFM Editor, and related components, such as ArcFM Server and ArcFM Web
ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, and associated tools for GIS data management and publishing
Configure and customize ArcFM Mobile applications to meet the specific requirements of the organization, including configuring maps, forms, and workflows
Database management systems, particularly with respect to the GIS database schema used by ArcFM, such as Esri Geodatabase

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
OR
- Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems or a related field
Experience:
- 2 or more years of relevant technology administration experience
Preferred:
4 or more years of experience using Esri products for analysis, web applications, and mobile data collection solutions
Experience managing and creating Field map and Survey123 applications in both the AGOL and ArcGIS Enterprise platforms
Experience building Experience Builder web applications
Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position
Preferred:
- GISP
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people.
