Job Description:
The UPS Store (TUPSS) Compliance Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining compliance documents, internal business practices, and network processes and procedures to support 5,000 locally owned The UPS Store locations.
This position is responsible for reviewing the compliance packet submissions, conducting analysis, documenting, and communicating findings per the internal business processes. This position upholds brand standards, responds to customer escalation requests, provide resolution, conducts research and prepares reports. He/She collaborates with stakeholders to resolve and escalate compliance failures, creating corrective action and recommending process improvements.
Responsibilities
Reviews compliance packet submissions and accepts or rejects within allocated time based on the required documents are submitted.
Reviews compliance packets within allocated and determines center compliance status.
Documents a store’s exceptions to brand standards/compliance following internal business process.
Ensures center builds meet standards in Corporate and Area Owned Areas
Collaborates with colleagues to develop/update documents that support The UPS Store standards and specifications.
Responds to questions/comments from the field.
Reviews changes to compliance process, updates resources, and communicates change to stakeholders.
Collects fees for center remodel projects and pay vendors according to internal business reviews.
Process invoices for vendors, ensuring timely payment per contract terms and internal business practices.
Account reconciliation following internal business process.
Report Generation: Generates reports in an appropriate format using basic software; reviews reports to ensure accuracy and completeness; identifies issues with report generation (e.g., missing variables, incorrect data, etc.)
Identifies challenges and issues and provides solutions to management.
Assists with tasks and deliverables for the design and construction team, operations department, or company as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience in compliance review and facilitation
Analytical skills for conducting analysis and identifying compliance issues
Identifies customer problems; uses appropriate internal resources to resolve complex customer issues
Experience using Microsoft Office products or equivalent software
Excellent communication skills for effective communication with stakeholders
Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) - Preferred
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself.
Must be willing to work in the San Deigo office 5 days a week (M-F), no exceptions.
5+ years of franchise experience.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
HOURLY HIRING RANGE:
$26.70 - $33.35
Actual compensation offers to candidates may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at the offer.
