Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced System Administrator to manage our IT infrastructure and ensure its reliability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will have an in- deep understanding of server hardware and software, CNC server, CAD software, networking protocols, and backup and recovery procedures. The System Administrator will implement best practices for system administration, disaster recovery, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage devices, network equipment, shop PLC and software applications
- Maintain servers, workstations, routers, switches, and other networking devices.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular system backups and recovery operations
- Manage active directory user accounts and access controls to ensure system security
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures
- Provide technical support to office and shop departments to identify and resolve technical issues
- Maintain security measures, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and encryption protocols
- Monitor and administer the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and internet connectivity.
- Maintain SQL database with Microsoft Access frontend
- Support Syringa phone and internet system
- Support and service HP, Ricoh, Brother, Lexmark printers
- Manage license agreements and ensure compliance with software usage policies.
- Maintain Microsoft exchange and support emails
- Research and recommend new technologies and tools to improve system performance and security
- Document all changes and procedures in a clear and concise manner
Requirements:
- Associate degree in computer science, information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Min 5 years experience in the field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, etc.) are a plus
- Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and technologies
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest IT trends and technologies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
