Position Summary: Provides technical assistance, installation and maintenance of Westmark PCs, printers, and other equipment at Branches through both the IT Department ticket system and in Branch for the Treasure Valley area.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- Performs computer related assignments and duties, including computer updates and maintenance (in accordance to the standards as set forth in Westmark policy), setting up new PC's or other equipment, and other computer related assignments given by the I.T. Manager as it relates to the Branches in the Boise area. Travel to Branches in the Boise area is required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application and hardware issues and provide first-level support to Credit Union staff through the IT Ticketing System.
- Assist in User Administration and E-mail administration as assigned.
- Understand, maintain, and install software as it pertains to day-to-day functions of Credit Union staff.
- Assist and support File System Structure, sharing, and group policies as related to the Westmark network as assigned.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
- Monitor branch and server communication and respond to outages as necessary.
- Rotate in an on-call schedule for emergency or after-hour incidents.
- Performs all duties assigned by the IT Manager.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of PC networks and Microsoft Windows OS and PC software, along with hardware maintenance, Ethernet cabling, ISP and other data communication devices
- Understanding of basic WAN and LAN technologies as they apply in the Westmark environment
- Understanding of Server systems as they relate to the Westmark environment, including Active Directory
- Ability to work well with others in troubleshooting and solving PC and other technical problems
- Ability to work in an environment with limited supervision
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science or closely related field, or a combination of formal education, training, or work-related experience. 2 years minimum experience in IT Related field with the Microsoft Windows environment and software.
- Ability to work weekends or after-hours if needed
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
