Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated has an opening for a Sustainability Intern, for the Summer of 2024 at our Carlisle, PA location.
This position will provide support for the ongoing improvement of our sustainability program and systems. The Sustainability Intern will collaborate with our Sustainability, EH S, and Manufacturing teams to assist in improving the effectiveness of our policies and procedures as well as provide data analysis and reporting of our greenhouse (GHG) emissions, utility, and waste data.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with tracking and measurement of sustainability efforts, including data input for utilities, wastes, and emissions.
- Support the development and maintenance of sustainability dashboards.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of various sustainability related projects.
- Estimate the sustainability benefits of Carlisle products and solutions including carbon footprint and energy use.
- Review, revise, and create sustainability system policies, procedures, and forms.
- Develop written and presentation materials to assist with internal sustainability education and awareness.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in environmental engineering, environmental science, sustainability, business, or closely related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, trend, and interpret data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Possesses self-leadership and is highly organized to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and contribute ideas for improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with PowerBI or Tableau is a plus.
- Must be able to work onsite in Carlisle, PA mid-May to mid-August.
