The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is one of the 12 regional Reserve Banks that, together with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., make up the Federal Reserve System. The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking an undergraduate level (Junior or Senior) with preferred majors in Composition, Rhetoric, Writing, or English Education. This opening is onsite and will consider hybrid candidates as well. The work schedule is Monday - Friday (40 hour per week). This is a 10-week paid internship. The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.
Intern projects:
The intern will provide one-on-one writing and communication guidance to any other interns who would like feedback and support. An opportunity to lead an intern workshop is possible again this year. The intern will also support our team in reviewing existing materials and developing new materials to ensure a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
Required Skills:
  • Experience as a Writing Center tutor or writing consultant.

Preferred Competencies:
  • Excellent written communication skills, speaking/coaching skills, creativity, ability to connect with a dispersed intern cohort (onsite/virtual), experience in working with diverse populations and developing instruction/materials that are diverse, equitable, accessible, and inclusive.
