Job description

Under the general direction of an Assistant Chief Counsel, the incumbent is responsible for performing pre and post conversion validation of case unit data in Professional Audit Support System (PASS) and in the new case management system. The incumbent works collaboratively with the Legal managers and other customers to gather and document requirements for data conversion and reports the results of the conversion to ensure the results meet customer needs. In addition, the incumbent assists the Data Analyst in identifying the data fields necessary for Legal's Data Analyst Reports.


Position may be extended to up to 24 months or become permanent.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience using Professional Audit Support System (PASS), Taxpayer Information System (TI), Business Entity Tax System (BETS), SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Experience using Business Objects for creating data queries
  • Experience providing quality customer service and maintaining cooperative relationships with all levels of personnel throughout the department
  • Experience being on a project team
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access)
  • Knowledge of the tax filing, audit, appeal, settlement, litigation, and collection processes
  • Ability to analyze data and situations, and think logically and creatively to independently develop plans, research issues, solve problems, identify alternatives, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations that support business functions
  • Ability to research, document, evaluate, and provide clear, concise and accurate findings through a variety of communication methods to internal and external customers
  • Ability to work effectively with and lead business and technical staff
  • Ability to present ideas and information effectively, both orally and in writing
