Job Summary

Responsible for creating, planning, and implementing an engaging and interactive Social Media content strategy that enhances the University's reputation. Engages in daily activity on the University's Social Media channels to advance the school brand, promote events/programs, recruit students, increase retention and community connection to the University. Ensures communications are aligned with the University's brand messaging and policies.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Creates and follows a communication plan aligning with departmental and University¿s deadlines and events
2. Generates, edits, publishes and shares content (original text, images, video or HTML) that encourages prospective, currently enrolled students and community engagement with the University
3. Assists Client Managers with moderating user-generated content (posts, tweets, comments, direct messaging, etc.)
4. Monitors conversations and responds to user-generated comments and questions posted on university accounts
5. Assists Client Managers with content planning and execution of communication plans
6. Optimizes pages within each platform to increase visibility of University's social content
7. Collaborates with Enrollment Services Division departments to manage reputation, coordinate University social event coverage, and content sharing/re-purposing through work performed

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Required Experience
On-the-job training provided

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Experience in communicating with prospective and current students to better facilitate their recruitment and experience in higher education
Exposure to Social Media platform use and processes

Excellent content creation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Social Media platforms and applications, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
