Dream BIG Day Camp is Denver’s premier private day camp with over 17+ years of experience in the summer camp world. We are a fast-paced, fun, supportive small business and our goal is to encourage personal growth in each child by providing an excellent program facilitated by nurturing and highly trained staff.

In the details:

• Our mandatory Master Orientation program for new staff is Tuesday, May 28th -Saturday, June 1st, 2024.
• Summer Camp Sessions run Monday, June 3rd-Friday, August 2nd, 2024.
• We work Monday-Friday from 8:15 AM-3:15 PM (35 hours/week) with an additional staff meeting on Thursdays from 3:30-4:30 PM (1 hour/week).
• Our summer camp operates out of Denver Jewish Day School located at 2450 S Wabash St, Denver, CO 80231.

We are currently hiring: Group Counselors, Group Leaders, Photographers/Videographers, and Activity Directors for: art, theater, science, baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, lacrosse, flag football, gardening, yoga, and more!

Desired Skills:

• A love for children

• Proven experience as Camp Counselor or similar role working with children
• Patient and reliable
• Organizational and communication skills
• Familiarity with summer camp and/or various outdoor activities
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (strength and stamina to follow strenuous activities like running, crouching, or carrying children)
• First aid- and CPR-certified preferred
• High school diploma

What do Camp Counselors do?

The most important out of all Camp Counselor duties is to ensure campers are safe at all times. You’ll be responsible for overseeing their activities and ensuring they don’t get lost or hurt. Being reliable and able to build good relationships with children are two essential traits of a Camp Counselor. If you’re patient, energetic but can set boundaries when needed, we’d like to meet you.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Engage and have FUN with campers
• Participate in group activities
• Assist Activity Directors with indoor/outdoor activities or sports for groups of campers
• Help lead campers through games and explorations
• Assist in setting up and maintaining equipment
• Resolve occasional disputes between children and address behavioral issues
• Make sure all safety rules are followed
• Ensure campus is clean and that campers don’t litter recreational areas or nature
• Treat minor injuries
• Keep accurate incident logs
