Salary: $65,000-$75,000 / year
The Information Technology Senior Instructional Designer will play a key role in the development and implementation of effective instructional strategies and learning materials. The IT Senior Instructional Designer will collaborate with subject matter experts, team members, and stakeholders to create engaging and impactful learning experiences.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Instructional Design Strategy: Leads the development and implementation of instructional design strategies, standards, and best practices.
- Design and Develop Learning Materials: Leads the design and development of instructional materials, including e-learning courses, interactive modules, videos, simulations, assessments, and other multimedia elements. Applies adult learning principles and instructional design theories to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
- Curates written, video, and webinar content from customer-facing and product teams in a centralized and indexed Learning Management System.
- Creates a unified brand experience across all products and education services.
- Stays abreast of the latest trends and innovations in instructional design, technology, and adult learning theories. Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance the effectiveness of instructional materials.
- Conducts thorough quality checks and reviews of instructional materials to ensure accuracy, instructional integrity, and alignment with learning objectives. Identifies and addresses any content gaps, inconsistencies, or usability issues through rigorous testing and revisions.
- Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Collaborate with SMEs to analyze learning needs, gather content, and ensure accurate and up-to-date information for instructional design projects. Facilitates effective communication and builds strong relationships with SMEs to ensure instructional materials meet the desired learning outcomes.
- Team Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborates with the team members to share knowledge, insights, and best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborates with stakeholders, such as subject matter experts, HR Business Partners, and project sponsors, to understand their requirements, gather feedback,and incorporate their input into instructional design projects. Maintains effective communication channels to ensure stakeholder satisfaction and engagement throughout the design and development process.
- Architects learning paths and eLearning courseware using a Learning Management System (Relias).

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in instructional design or e-learning development are highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of experience as an Instructional Designer with a proven track record of designing and developing engaging and effective learning materials.
- Prior experience as a technical trainer
- Prior experience with Electronic Medical or Health (EMR or EHR) solutions
- Prior experience developing customer content (videos, eLearning modules, technical presentations, lab guides)
- Excels at visual storytelling using delivery tools such as PowerPoint presentations and eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
- Demonstrated ability to transform Instructor-Led Training (ILT) content into an eLearning experience.
- Strong knowledge and application of instructional design theories, methodologies, and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to create new content following the ADDIE model of curriculum development.
- Must be able to successfully pass a multi state CORI, reference check, and employment verification check
