We want to find an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented IT Contracts Analyst for one of our critical business units to lead major initiatives within our IT Commercial team in Waltham, MA (Candidates may also reside in either, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Maine). What you'll do

 

As an adaptable and results-oriented IT Contracts Analyst, you'll deliver strong commercial support to service delivery and project delivery teams to drive the development and release of innovative features and services to answer our most pressing business needs. You'll manage, support, and develop the necessary materials in for supplier governance meetings. You'll also be embedded within a team of vendor and contract management professionals and work closely with a wide range of internal stakeholders to ensure their service requirements are understood, sourced and delivered to provide maximum value to our business whilst maintain appropriate levels of risk. Key responsibilities include the following:
 

  • Support in the identification of key internal stakeholders and help setup/deliver an appropriate engagement model to ensure that stakeholder requirements (including the demand for services) are understood and met.
  • Support a Vendor Manager proactively build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support the delivery of their requirements in line with the agreed timescales, quality levels and KPIs/SLAs and ensure the appropriate documentation is in place to track progress.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of a portfolio of managed services contracts (to be assigned) and provide contract management support to a Vendor Manager through the lifecycle of such agreements including preparation, assistance and tracking of the following: contract administration, change management, dispute and escalation management, cost control/reduction management, deliverable and obligation oversight and management, governance and supplier management, exit management
  • Support a Vendor Manager build and maintain strong strategic relationships with vendor in order to help deliver services as agreed under contract.
  • Provide the necessary commercial and contractual support to delivery teams to ensure services are delivered as required.
  • Support with the development of strategy, scoping and negotiation of commercial agreements of all kinds to meet the business' strategic service and project needs and ensure robust agreements are delivered on time and in line with agreed quality and cost measures.
  • Develop policies and procedures as needed to support internal stakeholder engagement and external vendor management.
  • Develop team members and stakeholders in the capabilities required to manage vendors to deliver the value created and agreed in commercial agreements with such vendors.
     

What you'll need

 

  • A minimum of 3 years of managing IT suppliers preferably managed service/outsource contracts
  • Experience managing relationships with industry participants and regulatory bodies
  • Communication of complex ideas to internal management up to middle management level experience
  • Relationship building skills and engagement of resources within external third party vendors experience
  • Vendor management / relationship skills experience
  • Contract administration (Full understanding of Commercial Terms & Conditions), licensing, business development or procurement experience
  • Strong organizational skills with high level of attention to detail 
  • Good communication skills (Verbal & Written,), analytical and time management skills
  • Ability to manage time and schedules to meet deadlines

It would awesome if you had

 

  • A BA/BSc degree or can show considerable work experience in vendor/contract management
  • An industry relevant professional qualification such as being a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing Supply
  • Experience of digital ways of working
  • Capacity for self-motivation and creative problem-solving
  • Intermediate level on Microsoft Excel 
  • Experience using Ariba Contract Management tool

Salary

$88,000 - $104,000 a year

Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company’s testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.
