Job Summary
The Senior Accountant at Colorado Mechanical Systems, LLC is part of the Accounting and Finance team of a collaborative and growing organization. This role will be responsible for supporting the general accounting activities to include month end processing, daily cash activity, fixed assets, reconciliations, and analytics. Below are some of the overall areas of responsibilities:
- Financial Statement preparation
- Journal Entries
- Reconciliations
- Cash Management
- Sales/Use Tax
- Auditing
- Software: ComputerEase
- Financial general support
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports in accordance with GAAP for internal and external reporting.
- Calculate, review, and process journal entries for month end close.
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, including cash/bank reconciliations.
- Manage Fixed Asset schedule and depreciation entries.
- Analyze and research outstanding liabilities to create month end accruals.
- Monitor and enter daily cash activity in the bank to ensure accurate balance in the general ledger.
- Reconcile Intercompany transactions.
- Record monthly inventory activity.
- Process credit card activity.
- Prepare accurate budgets annually.
- Assist with annual audit/review by providing required files including trial balances and variance analysis.
- Support and participate on special projects.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Two+ years of accounting experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Professionalism in handling confidential information.

Compensation:
- Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000/year depending on skill and experience.
