Job description

Who we're looking for:
You are an experienced discovery biologist with a passion for drug discovery and extensive experience with routine molecular and cell biology approaches. You have a proven record of leading/supporting projects from the bench through the design and generation of robust, decision-making data packages addressing key scientific questions. You thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, and multidisciplinary research environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Support/lead efforts in new target identification/validation using chemical and genetic approaches
  • Significantly impact advancement of projects through the design, implementation/optimization, and execution of novel biological assays
  • Contribute to/expand established cell and Molecular Biology platforms for target identification and validation as well as MOA characterization
  • Support/lead projects from the earliest stages to clinical development through strategic prioritization of parallel efforts
  • Communicate science and strategy effectively in a variety of internal and external settings

Required Qualifications:
  • PhD with 2+ years, MS with 5+ years, or BS with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting preclinical drug discovery efforts including evaluation of novel targets/pathways for therapeutic potential or characterization of molecules in relevant disease models
  • Extensive experience with routine molecular and cell biology approaches including mammalian tissue culture, cell-based assays and CRISPR/RNAi.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Desire and capacity to participate in a dynamic and fast-paced research setting
  • Desire and capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with targeted protein degradation
  • Familiarity with working with large datasets
