Houston MRI® & Diagnostic Imaging is currently seeking an experienced full-time onsite Scheduling Coordinator to join our business office team, located at 16920 Park Row Houston, TX 77084.

Job Summary:
Responsible for scheduling patient appointments; answering general questions; maintaining patient records; communicating with Referring Providers and other medical professionals. Provides quality customer service in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner; serves as initial contact for patients contacting scheduling.
Essential Job Function
- Properly schedule patients for diagnostic imaging procedures for multiple imaging centers and maintaining the imaging schedule.
- Fill cancellations and openings in schedule daily as needed and reschedule patients based on their medical and/or financial needs.
- Ensure accurate and detailed information in patient charts, including demographics of patients and Referring Providers into the RIS.
- Confirm with Referring Provider the specifics of the orders, diagnosis, and any information needed for authorization.
- Process documents received in the central Scheduling Department via fax, email, and phone.
- Answer multiple phones lines in a courteous and timely manner. Must have excellent phone etiquette and voice clarity.
- Provide the utmost professional interaction and communication with and between the patient/family, center staff, Referring Providers/staff and Radiologists.
- Maintain a neat and organized work area.
Educational and Skill Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum one (1) year of customer service-related work in the medical field.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic radiological procedures in an outpatient setting.
- Proficient in the use of office computer systems including Microsoft Office and RIS.
- Ability to multi-task and remain detailed and organized.
- Ability to communicate and respond to questions assisting patients, Referring Providers, and clinical staff in a professional manner.
- Bilingual English-Spanish preferred.
- Ability to hold all information concerning patients in strict confidence and abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
Status: Part-Time, Hourly

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours shifts, some Saturdays available
Pay Range: $16 - $18 per hour
