Responsibilities:
- Schedule client appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure efficient scheduling and patient flow
- Verify patient insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding appointments and scheduling
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical record systems such as Central Reach or similar software
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with the medical receptionist and other office staff to provide excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in medical scheduling or office administration preferred
- Familiarity with electronic scheduling systems such as Central Reach or similar software
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
- Experience working in an administrative or office setting is a plus
