As a Senior Safety Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of your coworkers and maintaining a culture of safety throughout the organization. What does a Senior Safety Coordinator do?As a Senior Safety Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and implement programs that ensure the safety of our employees and compliance with safety regulations. You will work closely with management to develop and implement safety policies and procedures, ensuring that our organization is well-prepared for emergencies and equipped to prevent accidents. Your expertise will be crucial as you recommend improvements to our overall safety practices, risk management strategies, and emergency preparedness. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of our existing safety programs and identify areas for improvement, continuously striving to reduce injuries, accidents, and health problems. Your dedication and attention to detail will play a vital role in creating a safe and secure work environment for all.
What we're looking for in a Senior Safety CoordinatorExtensive knowledge of security protocols, emergency preparedness, and OSHA standards is essential to ensure compliance and keep our employees safe. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will be responsible for conducting safety training and effectively communicating safety policies and procedures. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for managing safety programs and ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software is required for data management and reporting purposes. An associate degree in safety or environmental health is required, while a bachelor's degree is preferred. Additionally, three to five years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment is required for understanding industry-specific risks and implementing effective safety strategies. Advanced training or certification in safety, such as CSP or CIH, is also preferred and demonstrates your commitment to professional development in this field.
Requirements for the position are:
