POSITION SUMMARY: The Fleet Safety Coordinator oversees and maintains compliant DOT and company record retention processes for the complex. They are a central position for the flow of documentation and information from the Driver Managers to the Fleet Safety Department. They are courteous and professional at all times as they will be communicating with internal and external personnel.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Fleet Safety Coordinator oversees and maintains compliant DOT and company record retention processes for the complex. They are a central position for the flow of documentation and information from the Driver Managers to the Fleet Safety Department. They are courteous and professional at all times as they will be communicating with internal and external personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Conduct a weekly minimum audit for 10% of the complex fleet to ensure compliance.
- Work closely with Driver Managers and HR to process new drivers and oversee compliance for all drivers.
- Monitor and maintain Driver Qualification files in Driver Management On-line Program for accuracy.
- Point of contact for complex management team for all Fleet Safety/DOT compliant processes.
- Monitor driver hours of service records to ensure compliance and address all concerns.
- Facilitate a monthly Accident Review Board Meeting to assign accountability.
- Monitor Pro-Tread Driver Training Process.
- Conduct Smith System Driver Training.

- Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
- Must possess strong organizational skills.
- Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Hands on and detailed orientated
- Good internal relationships
- Have Fleet Safety/DOT regulations as a top priority.
- Knowledge of Driver Management On-line beneficial
- Knowledge of DOT regulations beneficial
- Certified as a Smith System Instructor or be able to obtain certification.
- High School Diploma/GED required with some college preferred.
