Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Safety Coordinator to join our team at our facility located in Whitewater, WI, 53190. As a Field Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our employees and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization. This position requires excellent communication skills and strong leadership abilities to effectively manage and guide our team towards maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Provide safety training and education programs to employees, emphasizing the importance of safe work practices
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop and maintain a safety culture that promotes awareness and accountability
- Monitor and evaluate safety performance metrics, identify trends, and implement proactive measures to continuously improve safety standards
- Coordinate with external agencies and contractors to ensure compliance with safety regulations and requirements
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging safety trends to proactively address potential risks
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey safety information and instructions
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating a diverse team
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategies for improving safety performance
- Proficient in using safety management software and tools
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
- Prior experience in a similar role or relevant certification in occupational health and safety is preferred
