Now, you’re probably wondering a little more about what we are looking for, so here it is:
- High School Diploma or GED – Required
- Customer Service Experience – Preferred
- Phone Experience – Preferred
- Proficient knowledge of customer service principles and processes
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Proficient knowledge of phone usage
- Proficient knowledge of using copy machines
- Proven knowledge of office procedures and of spelling, grammar, punctuation, and arithmetic
- Proficient knowledge of the English language
- Proficient English speaking, reading, and writing skills
- Proficient customer service skills
- Proven skill in talking to others to convey information effectively
- Proficient collaboration skills
- Proven data entry skills
- Proficient skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
Want some more specifics? Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
- Answer and incoming calls within two rings
- Transfer all calls to the appropriate personnel
- Check night messages first thing every morning & update night message as needed (holidays, etc.)
- Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing etc.
- Sign for and record incoming packages
- Distribute incoming mail and packages
- Post and send outgoing mail and packages
- Special projects, as needed
- Employee birthday gift distribution
- All other duties as assigned
