Lepley Recruiting Services is working with a leading flooring contractor dedicated to delivering high-quality commercial flooring solutions to their clients. With a strong commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, we are expanding our team and seeking a motivated individual to join our Purchasing Department.
Key Elements of the position:
As the Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our projects by efficiently managing the procurement process for flooring materials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with flooring material suppliers.
- Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement.
- Generate purchase orders based on project requirements and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize stock levels.
- Conduct regular reviews of stock to identify surplus or shortages and take appropriate actions.
- Work closely with the Finance Department to track expenses and ensure adherence to project budgets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the construction or flooring industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with flooring materials and suppliers is a plus.
- Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related field is preferred.
Salary range: $60,000-$68,000 Full benefits, Healthcare, Dental and 401K with company match.
