Range Master is the Central Coast's only combination indoor firing range and shooting sports store, specializing in serving first responders and law enforcement. We are looking for a full time Purchasing/Receiving Coordinator in our retail store, Uniforms Department to join our professional and growing team.
The Range Master Purchasing/Receiving Coordinator is the key to making sure our store remains stocked with the merchandise our customers want!! The position plays a major role in successfully managing the flow of merchandise from stockroom through our store and special orders for Uniforms Department, which is a critical element in driving positive results for this company.
This position works cooperative with our Uniform department, and as well as Firearms department with firearms stock accessories. We're seeking someone who is great on the phone to talk to vendors and reps of vendors, has excellent analytical and organizational skills and is a professional multi-tasker. Daily Tasks include: Purchasing, receiving, ticketing, sorting, pricing, moving merchandise into and throughout the store quickly, efficiently and accurately: arranging outbound shipping, maintaining records of merchandising quantities on hand.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Create and submit purchase order to vendors to meet stock and customer order needs.
- Ensure the quality and condition of new merchandise meets company standards, assist with floor merchandising as needed to assure a clean, attractive and organized display.
- Process, ticket, store, move and display merchandise.
- Stock, organize, and set displays of new merchandise on sales floor, and continually replenish inventory to create an extraordinary customer experience.
- Communicate with Store Managers on new product arrivals, assembly execution and display readiness.
- Fill web orders and correspond with web customers in a professional manner.
- Keep Range Masters Buyers and Managers informed of the movement of merchandise from orders to the selling processing.
- As required, pack and ship merchandise promptly and properly.
- Perform other tasks as Store Managers from time-to-time. Help customer questions and notifications of availability some special orders when required by Uniforms Department.
- Help with customer service with boots or other item when other staff is not available.
- Do inventory of the store merchandise to ensure accuracy.
- Fill out selected written records in a NEAT and LEGIBLE manner.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Positive self-starter with good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.
- Able to help out with customer as needed and where needed a plus!
- Ability to work closely with management and sales associates
- Demonstrate an ability to organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals
- Work independently and with others to achieve mutual goals and help the department expand
- Able to help make the department’s workflow more efficient, and can adapt to changes in equipment and software
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally load and unload shipments, ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance.
- Able to work productively with the normal background noise of a retail environment.
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and lift throughout the course of a scheduled shift.
- Able to work in extreme hot or cold temperatures in weather.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate plus work experience in the backend of a business with inventory.
- 1-2 years of Shipping and Receiving experience in Retail Industry preferred.
- PROFICIENCY USING MICROSOFT WORD, EXCEL, AND WEB BASED PLATFORMS
- ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENT ON PROJECTS WITHOUT CLOSE SUPERVISION
- MUCH BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD AND SUCCESSFULLY PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK.
- ABILITY TO LIFT AND MOBILIZE MEDIUM TO LARGE ITEMS, UP TO 40 LBS.
- ABILITY TO CLIMB LADDERS
- ABILITY TO CONTINUALLY, SMILE, BE NICE AND BE GENIUENLY FRIENDLY IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE GUESTS ARE THE REASON WE ARE IN BUSINESS
- ABILITY TO ADAPT AND BE FLEXIBLE TO THE CHANGES THAT CAN COME UP DAILY.
