WHAT WILL YOU DO:
This position is responsible for directing facilities management for the college. The College Business Services Officer serves as the emergency management contact for CEHD and communicates safety information or procedural changes from GSU to CEHD.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Periodically meets with GSU and CEHD coordinators.
- Conducts periodic safety meetings with departmental coordinators.
- Coordinates security and building access through Key Control/Police.
- Monitors parking access in CEHD garage.
- Coordinate and advise CEHD departments on all new construction, renovations, repairs, and moves within college spaces across multiple buildings on campus.
- Reviews and approves all FMR's.
- Point of contact between CEHD and contractors or Facilities staff.
- Coordinates capital asset inventory for CEHD.
- Contacts departments to identify items on capital inventory list and assist GSU auditor in locating them for physical inspection.
- Review and approve all requisitions and purchase orders in Panthermart, and all journals in Spectrum workflow. May include troubleshooting problems and questions related to processing.
- Works closely with business managers in CEHD and admin personnel in GSU's Purchasing and Disbursements offices.
- Performs other infrequent duties as assigned. May include but not limited to assisting with event set-ups, arranging repairs to Dean's office copier and other equipment, coordinating phone lines and telecom equipment, and maintaining Dean's office purchase card.
*This position does require physical presence in the office. Remote work opportunities will be assessed following the probationary period.
*Very minimal travel required to other buildings and the Clarkston campus.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of supervisory/management experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Capability to lift/move items up to 15 pounds
