The Gender & Sexuality Therapy Center (G&STC) is a group private practice offering competent and knowledgable psychotherapy for adolescents, adults, partnerships and families in Midtown and remotely in NY state. We're currently hiring full time and part time fee for service therapists.

G&STC specializes in gender, sexuality and relationships, and provide a range of services, including psychotherapy, supervision, workshops, and consultation.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR:

• LMSW/LCSW/MHC/LMHC seeking experience in a private setting
• LCSW/LMHC who are interested in working privately, but don’t want to independently manage the administrative side of being in private practice
• LCSW/LMHC who are interested in working privately, but not ready or interested to be in a solo practice
• LMSW/LCSW/MHC/LMHC who want to work in a group practice environment
• LMSW/MHC who wants to accrue clinical hours in a private setting
• LMSW/LCSW/MHC/LMHC who wants to expand their competence regarding working with LGBTQ+, kinky, and non-monogamous folks, and with sexual related issues such as sexual anxiety, sexual pain, sexual functioning, and sexual compulsive behaviors
• A queer, trans, kinky and/or poly therapist looking to work within the community and develop a professional therapeutic practice and identity under the supervision and guidance of sex therapists

DUTIES:

• Phone consultations
• Intakes
• Full time position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload 28-30 clients, including individuals, couples, partnerships with 3+ people, and families (Full time is considered 25 completed sessions per week, smaller caseloads of 20-24 may be possible)
• Part time position: Provides psychotherapy services to a caseload 18 clients, including individuals, couples, partnerships with 3+ people, and families (Part time is considered 15 completed sessions per week, smaller caseloads of 15 may be possible)
• Maintains case notes, treatment plans, and other required documentation
• Provide group therapy
• Blog writing 4x/year
• Participates in weekly specialized individual and group clinical supervision
• Assists in creation and implementation of G&STC workshops, trainings and seminars, as interested/needed
• Marketing tasks for self and G&STC

REQUIREMENTS (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND APPLY ONLY IF YOU MEET ALL LISTED):

• Possess an LMSW, MHC, LMHC, LCSW or LCSW-R and be licensed in New York
• Commit to a minimum of 3 years with G&STC (we know this can be intimidating and we are looking for therapists who want of a place to set up roots to come and grow with us!)
• Education, training, and demonstrated success in implementing modalities, such as CBT, IFS, mindfulness treatments, trauma-informed practices, somatic treatments, and psychodynamic psychotherapy
• Feel comfortable networking and marketing under the guidance of your supervisor
• Feel comfortable collecting and discussing fees with clients under the guidance of your supervisor
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Be available and willing to see clients on at least 1 weekend day (Saturday preferred), early mornings and evenings
• At least two years of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy
• At least one year of experience in providing individual, couples, multiple partner relationships and/or family therapy
• At least one year of experience in providing therapy to LGBTQ+, kinky, and non-monogamous individuals
• At least one year of experience in providing therapy for sexual related issues such as sexual anxiety, sexual functioning, sexual pain compulsive sexual behaviors
• Must have a high level of competence with our practice's specialty
• Highly responsive to email communication
• Organized and able to submit progress notes and out of network submission accurately and in a timely manner, and in accordance of G&STC policies

COMPENSATION PACKAGE G&STC:

• Onboarding Stipend (Part time and full time: $225)
• $45-55 per session depending on licensure and experience (Part time and full time)
• Sick pay (Part-time and full time: 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked) + Paid time off (Full time: 1 hour earned for every 30 hours worked), ~3 weeks of accrued/combined Sick & PTO for full time
• Professional Development Reimbursement Stipend (Full time: $250/year)
• Healthcare Stipend (Full time: $200/month)
• Paid Individual Supervision (at an admin/non-billable rate)
• Internet Reimbursement Stipend (Part time and full time: $50/month)
• 401k with 4% employer match (Different eligibility for part-time and full time)
